Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

District Nurses provide care for patients who are unable to get to the Surgery due to their medical condition. They are not based at the surgery but you can contact them on 0300 300 7777.
Please refer to your child’s Red Book for the name and contact number of your health visitor.
Childhood immunisations up to 15 years of age are held at the surgery by the practice nurse.
Your health visitor is available to offer support and advice to families with children. This also includes the monitoring of the children’s health, growth and development.
